Description
Pavetest BBR: Precision in Asphalt Binder Testing
The Pavetest BBR stands as a state-of-the-art thermoelectrically-cooled bending beam rheometer designed for assessing the flexural creep of asphalt binders within a temperature range from ambient to -40 °C (± 0.03 °C).
This innovative equipment employs a miniature servo-controlled actuator to apply loads of up to +/- 10N at a loading frequency ranging from static to 25Hz. Remarkably, no compressed air supply is required. The servo-control feature eliminates the need for frequent calibration and repeated adjustments of air-bearing pressures. Simply input the desired load, and the servo-controlled actuator ensures precise application and maintenance of the requested load.
Temperature regulation is achieved with exceptional precision through a temperature controller located on the machine’s front. Users can set the bath temperature either using the controller or through the software. The BBR comes complete with a suitable chiller to guarantee a temperature range between ambient and -40°C. At the core of the system lies Pavetest’s industry-leading Control and Data Acquisition System (CDAS) along with the globally acclaimed TestLab software.
